NRL CEO David Smith has revealed up 30 NRL players will be contacted by ASADA this week in relation to the use of performance enhancing drugs in sport.
The NRL through it’s integrity unit will issue the notices to players and will not stand down any player until an infraction notice is issued by ASADA. It is expected this process will take from 4-6 weeks to complete.
There will be some very nervous players out there at the moment and it will be interesting to see which ones roll over first. The RLPA should be cautioning members to remain silent at all times and consult with legal counsel before giving out any information.
Sounds good in theory but I doubt it happens. Let the dominos fall where they may…
